Welcome to Hoopologist.com, home of San Francisco Hoola Hoops. As editor of Hooping.org Magazine, co-founder of Bay Area Hoopers, a hoop dance performer and maker of custom-made adult-sized artisan hoops, my life is all about the hoop. Looking for a $25 hoop of your own that's perfectly designed just for you? Then it's time to make a few decisions and do a little measuring. Ready? Let's begin.
1) Pipe: There are two sizes of tubing available - 3/4" and 1". Note: Generally men seem to prefer 1" thickness, while women tend to go for the 3/4". What's your pipe size preference?
2) Diameter: The ideal hoop diameter measurement should fall mid-point between your navel and solar plexus or sternum. Or, if you're on the thinner side, measure closer to your navel, or closer to your solar plexus if you're thicker waisted than average. What diameter do you want your hoop to be?
3) Colors: What are two or three of your favorite colors from my self-made "guess that's close enough" color guide? For prism, silver or gold add $5 to your order. What color is your ideal hoop?
your choices and payment can be made upon receipt or via paypal if shipping is required. Shipping is $15. I want you to love your hoop, so if you have ideas, thoughts or questions just ask. Happy Hooping!
